My Inner Child

My prayer is for me to be able to see,
that I am lovable, fun, and carefree,

My prayer is to be able to create and play,
to hold my arms outward, and fly like a bird everyday,

My prayer for me is to be able to hop, skip, and jump,
And to play ring around the rosy, so I can fall on my rump,

My prayer is to shout out to the sky,
I love you Tina, and not have to wonder why,

My prayer is to get in touch with me,
To nurture, hold, and caress, just to be,

My prayer is to know that I am an angel too,
I am a gift from God, and there isn't anything I have to do,

My prayer is that I remember shortly after I was born,
I wasn't broken, beaten, bruised, or torn,

God be with me, and keep me out of harms way,
Remind me of my innocence, beauty, gaiety, and that I'm OK!
