The First Snow

It was exhilarating,
as I trudged through the snow to meet with you,
I recognized you from afar
and you spotted me too,
As soon as I heard the click
I understood why I had that view,
I felt peace and contentment as I looked through the lens
and I knew what I had to do,
Oh, how breath taking you were to me
and I let out a sigh,
It was worth the journey
to be given an opportunity so rare, I cannot lie
You gave me a memory and a miracle
that I never want to deny,
I hope to remeber you so when I compare you,
I won't ever forget why,
You were my vision
and you were specifically given by thee,
The more I embrace and honor you
the more I'm able to see,
It won't ever be again because it only happens once a year
oh how grateful it is to be,
The first snow
what a precious gift that was handed to me.
